We may all question quitting our jobs, but how do we know if it’s really the right thing to do? I would personally try and put in some really hard work, study in the mornings or evenings and on weekends and get that sucker knocked out while still working so you can be that much closer to the license when you pass.ĭon’t psych yourself out. Just put in the work and you will pass eventually. I promise if you went to any decent university and graduated you can absolutely pass this exam. You’re never going to feel fully confident going into the exam. Personally I wouldn’t question it unless it started to creep beyond that. It may be a red flag to some potential employers that you quit your first job quickly but that’s also easily explained away IF you’re able to quickly (within six months or so) pass the whole exam. What’s your current job? Can you afford to not have an income while you study for the exam? Plenty of people have worked and taken the exam simultaneously, even when working 50+ hours per week. Regardless of whether I quit or not, this job is stressful and I feel the CPA license adds more value to me than this job. If I quit my job, it’ll look bad on my resume to work for such a short period of time, but I believe I have a better shot at passing the exam and it seems to provide hope.
